		<description>Black Eyes kicked into gear just like E.K.U.K. did some weeks before at the V.  One foot high in the air, and ka-Boom, it was on.  Guitar necks were flying in every direction, and it was a wonder that no one got clocked in the face.  

Actually, the singer DID get a headstock to the face late in their set, and it hurt a LOT.  Now that's abandonment.  

Both guitarists were sporting Soldano half-stacks, which sounded fantastic from the very first riff, and the tall guy was wielding a Les Paul with a pair of p-90's that were duck-taped to the body, and more duck-tape holding on the pickup selector switch.  Even more duck-tape was securing his guitar strap.  At that point, he might as well have wrapped the whole body in tape, just to make a look of it.

Best line of the evening?  When the singer said, "Uh, they told us that we have to play for an hour, which we've never done before.  So here's a new song..."</description>
